Papua – The Covid-19 situation in Indonesia has started to decline, but Papua has not entered the green zone yet. Therefore, the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of Jayawijaya Region, through their Polisi Pi Ajar (Si Ipar) programme, visited Pelangi Orphanage of Wamena on Tuesday August 24, 2021, to distribute face masks.
The event was commenced at 10.00 local time, led by Police Commissioner Attendant Harbani Paruki, Police Chief Brigadier Yan Msen, and Police Brigadier Stenly Rewang.
Just like the Health Protocols of Si Ipar, Binmas Noken held a reading and writing education and singing national songs with the children. The Binmas Noken then gave face masks and small-sized national flags to the children.
Police Commissioner Attendant Harbani also reminded the orphanage kids to adhere to Health Protocols (wearing masks, washing their hands, and keeping their distance).
