inp.polri.go.id – Makassar. The Directorat of Special Crime South Sulawesi Regional Police will launch an integrated reporting application for corruption cases based on Android and iOS.
Head of Sub-Directorate for Corruption, Directorate of Special Crime, South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Commissioner Fadli said the launch of the application is planned at the end of August 2021.
The Head of the Sub-Directorate for Corruption explained that the application, with an integrated reporting system, was connected with other law enforcement officers to collect information on alleged corruption.
“So that people can easily access and report if they find indications of corruption in their area without having to directly report to the Regional Police,” explained the Intermediate Officer of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Friday (20/08/21).
Fadli explained that the application can be accessed through the App Store and Play Store. The public is required to fill out a form and upload an ID card.
“That is an initial and mandatory requirement. The address is clear and sends an electronic letter with an attachment to the documentation of alleged corruption,” he explained.
This application also makes it easier for the public to monitor the progress of investigations and investigations of corruption cases handled by his party.
“In addition, it also aims to minimize reporting that leads to slander or acts of defamation and the protection of witnesses who report corruption,” he said.
Community involvement in eradicating corruption is enshrined in Law Number 31 of 1999, concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, in Article 41 paragraph (5) and Article 42 paragraph (5).
“Laksus really appreciates this breakthrough, we are ready to help the South Sulawesi Police to optimize and maximize this application. This application is also clear evidence of the South Sulawesi Police’s transparency in eradicating corruption,” concluded the Head of Sub-Directorate of Corruption.
