The Chief of East Java Regional Police Directly Observes the Vaccination of Secondary School Students in Surabaya

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Surabaya. The Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta Karo-Karo conducted a review of Covid-19 vaccination activities for students at Public Secondary School (SMPN) 1 at Pacar Street, Surabaya, Thursday (12/08/2021).

Appearing to be present with the Chief of East Java Regional Police at the vaccination activity, Head of East Java Regional Intelligence Agency, First Marshal of the Indonesian National Army Rudy Iskandar and the Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi. The vaccination for students was led by Head of East Java Regional Intelligence Agency and attended by thousands of Public Secondary School (SMPN) 1 Surabaya and Public Secondary School (SMPN) 6 Surabaya.

The Chief of East Java Regional Police said that as an alumnus of SMPN 1, He came to give encouragement and encouragement to younger siblings who attend SMPN 1 so that they are willing to carry out vaccinations. He appreciates the students who are enthusiastic about getting the vaccine. It will help the government in realizing herd immunity or group immunity in handling Covid-19.

“We are together with the East Java Provincial Government, Commander of Regional Military, Head of East Java Regional Intelligence Agency, who are promoting vaccination. We ask that all people want to be vaccinated as a form of handling Covid-19. When Micro Restrictions (PPKM) are implemented, vaccination is one of the requirements of some activities. The community has been vaccinated, there will be mutual immunity, and that is our hope for the community,” added the Chief of East Java Regional Police.

“We all know that vaccination for students is being promoted in many public or private schools. We hope that with many teachers and students being vaccinated, face-to-face schools can be reopened. Hopefully, with this vaccination, we can all continue teaching and learning activities. Three thousand eight hundred doses are provided. In the future, further vaccination will be carried out not only in the city of Surabaya but also in Islamic boarding schools in East Java,” concluded the Chief of East Java Regional Police.
