The National Police’s Public Relations Division dispatched the Public Information Bureau of the Public Information Bureau to the Barelang Regional Police Station in the context of FGDs to prevent and combat radicalism and terrorism. The activity was carried out at the Aninditha Hall on the 2nd floor, Barelang Police. Thursday (06/10/2021).
The FGD raised the theme “Together in Fighting Radicalism and Terrorism”, with Ustaz Muhammad Makmun as the speaker.
Chairman of the Community Development Division of National Police’s Public Relations Division, Pol. Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said that radicalism and intolerance are the seeds of the emergence of terrorism networks. Meanwhile, deradicalism is providing an understanding of national insight back to those who have committed acts of terror, namely ex-convicts or convicts.
“The Public Relation Division of National Police’s Headquarter has a counter-radical prevention program implemented in 24 regional police stations in Indonesia. This morning’s activity is Counter Radical, which is an effort by the Police together with stakeholders to carry out values and understanding of national insight to the community to prevent radical activities,” explained Pol. Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan.
