inp.polri.go.id – Samarinda. A total of 1 kilogram (Kg) of methamphetamine, which was disclosed in mid-May 2021 by the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Diresnarkoba) of the East Kalimantan Regional Police was destroyed in a blender and thrown into the toilet, Thursday (06/10/21).
Deputy Director of Drugs Directorate of the East Kalimantan Regional Police, Pol Grand Commissioner Attendant Rino Eko, directly led the destruction of the evidence and was attended by several representatives of state agencies and institutions.
“What we destroyed were three police reports [LP] in May 2021, and their determination has been made,” the Deputy Director of the Drugs Directorate of the East Kalimantan Regional Police explained.
Not all the evidence of methamphetamine was destroyed. Some are set aside for the purposes of trial and investigation.
“According to the mandate of the law, a small amount is set aside for trial evidence, the rest is destroyed,” the Deputy Director of the Drugs Directorate of the East Kalimantan Regional Police explained.
It is known, 1 of the 5 suspects who were arrested in the disclosure of this case was the result of an arrest in Balikpapan City which occurred on Monday (5/24). There is also a crime scene (TKP) on Soekarno Hatta Street, Karang Joang, North Balikpapan.
Starting from the arrest of a man with the initials WA, the police found 1.1 kilograms of evidence belonging to WA, then developed it and found 4 other suspects.
For his actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 114 Paragraph 2 Sub-Article 112 Paragraph 2 Jo 132 Paragraph 1 Law No. 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum penalty of 6 years.
