The Deputy Chief of Papuan Regional Police, Pol.Brigadier General Eko Rudi Sudarto paid a visit to the Community Building Nokes Reading Park of the Mimika Police Station, which is located in the Kwamki Narama District. The arrival of the Deputy Chief of Police was at the same time to hand over the aid of textbooks to students at the Reading Park.
Dozens of children aged kindergarten and elementary school also came to the Reading Gardens and also welcomed the arrival of the Deputy Chief of the Papua Regional Police. According to the Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police, children are a symbol of Indonesia’s future. So, as parents, it is an obligation to provide memorable, cheerful and fun childhood times for children.
“The world of children is a world full of joy, a world full of joy. We have to support it,” said Eko when met on the sidelines of the activity. So if children are not happy, children are sad and have disabilities in their childhood, it will become the next innate in their growth period,” explained the Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police.
To support the development of children in the Reading Park, the Deputy Chief of Police donated books that can stimulate children to actively play while learning. In addition to donating study books, the Deputy Chief of Regional Police will also add several rides to the reading park. Although currently there are several swings, according to him, the addition of other playgrounds can attract children’s interest in visiting the reading park. The Deputy Chief of Police also took the time to play and read with the children in the reading garden.
Mimika Police Chief, Great Captain I Gusti Gde Era Adhinata in his speech thanked the Deputy Chief of Police for visiting. The police chief also had time to reminisce about the history of the establishment of a reading garden in the middle of an area that was once labeled a conflict-prone red zone.
