Discussing the handling of Covid-19 in Batanghari Regency, Jambi Regional Police Chief Holds a Face-to-face Meeting with Regional Leadership Coordination Forum and the Covid-19 Task Force

inp.polri.go.id – Jambi. In handling Covid-19 in the Batanghari area, the Jambi Regional Police Chief, Pol. General Inspector Albertus Rachmad Wibowo, held a face-to-face meeting with Regional Leadership Coordination Forum elements and the Batanghari Regency Covid-19 Task Force which took place at Regional Disaster Management Agency, Batanghari.

In this activity, the Jambi Regional Police Chief saw that the readiness of Batanghari Regency in handling Covid-19 was the most prepared. The Jambi Regional Police Chief revealed that currently there are 90 Covid-19 isolation rooms, the largest number being in Jambi Province.

“The occupancy rate per day is only 20 percent, or more than 20 people, so we keep an eye on it so that no residents or the Batanghari community are exposed to illness and if they are sick, they can’t be treated,” said Jambi Regional Police Chief.

The two-star general said that related to breaking the chain of Covid-19 spread in Batanghari Regency by implementing Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia routinely implementing 5M. Meanwhile, regarding vaccination, the Jambi Police have received orders from the President, the National Police Chief, the National Armed Forces’ Commander and the Minister of Home Affairs to increase vaccinations.

Currently the target of vaccination is the elderly, so they are over 50 years old. If the vaccine dose is insufficient, please coordinate again with the Ministry of Health, that was what the President of the Republic of Indonesia said.

“In stages, hopefully it can be sent before it runs out because the vaccine has an expiration date,” explained the Jambi Regional Police Chief.

The Jambi Regional Police Chief invites to always be aware of new variants. What needs to be improved is the judicial operation and Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia as well as the awareness of the Batanghari community so that they are not affected.
