The Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo, together with Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran and Danrem 102 Panju Panjung reviewed mass vaccinations in Seruyan District, East Kotawaringin (Kotim) and West Kotawaringin (Kobar) districts. ), Thursday (6/10/102021) afternoon.
During the monitoring visit, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said the police targeted 2,500 vaccines in the three regencies.
“We are targeting 2,500 vaccines in Seruyan Regency, Kotim Regency and Kobar Regency. Today’s target, Alhamdulillan, we can exceed it, ” the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police explained.
The two-star general explained the target for the entire province of Central Kalimantan was 10,000 vaccines and it has now been achieved.
“This mass vaccination is prioritized for the seniors, public servants and educators. The goal is for herd immunity or community group immunity to suppress the spread of Covid-19, ” the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police explained.
However, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police advised to people who have not or who have been vaccinated, to continue to apply the health protocols, because it will be useless to be vaccinated if the health protocols are ignored.
“The Central Kalimantan Regional Police will continue to support the acceleration program for mass vaccinations, either in the form of assistance for medical personnel, security, pick-up for the seniors who will be vaccinated and so on,” the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police explained.
On the monitoring visit, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police together with the Governor and the Comander of Military Region Command also provided assisance in the form of nine-basic-needs (sembako) packages and masks to the public and medical personnel.
