inp.polri.go.id – Surabaya. East Java Regional Police deploys personnel from various task forces to increase public awareness on Covid-19 spread in Bangkalan Regency, specifically on four districts included in the red zone category.
Chief of PR and Press of East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko, said that East Java Regional Police had conducted activities in four red-zone districts in Bangkalan Regency such as Bangkalan, Arosbaya, Klampis, and Geger district. Traffic Police Corps of East Java Regional Police conducted road patrols and addressed the public on appealing people to obey Health Protocols to avoid Covid-19 spread in Arosbaya district.
“Our women traffic police corps has conducted preemptive and preventive actions in traffic and giving groceries, face masks, and hand sanitisers in Arosbaya district. Personnel of Mobile Brigade also patroled in four red-zone districts, optimising PPKM Mikro (Micro-scaled Public Activity Limitation Enforcement), and creating a conducive public security and order situation”, Chief of PR and Press of East Java Regional Police said.
Meanwhile, the Community Development Unit of East Java Regional Police gave 194 grocery packages to the disadvantaged people and appealed adherence to Health Protocols by 5M (wearing a face mask, washing hands, keeping distance, avoiding crowds, and minimising mobility). Chief of PR and Press of East Java Regional Police also has published fliers via social media, containing Bangkalan regency’s Covid cluster and statements by religious and public figures, mosque organisers.
“We are continuing this effort as an effort to avoid further spread of Covid-19, mainly in four red-zone districts”, Chief of PR and Press of East Java Regional Police concludes.
