Strengthening the Micro PPKM (Restriction on Community Activity) Command Post, the Chief of Indonesian National Police Explains the Management of Covid-19 Control in Kudus

Efforts to suppress and prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the Kudus Regency, Central Java are increasingly widespread, the Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said several contingency plan had been prepared to manage the spike in the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the region.

 

The Chief of Indonesian National Police mentioned one of the contingency plan is to strengthen the RT-PCR swab test and 5M education (washing hands, wearing masks, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility) and 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment).

 

“Those who have been traced and reactive are immediately directed not to leave the house and self-isolation until the RT-PCR results come out,” the Chief of Indonesian National Police explained, Monday (06/7).

 

Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said people who are self-isolating will be subject to strict supervision by the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police apparatus. This is to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19 to other residents.

 

“Supervised by Indonesian National Armed Forces-Indonesian National Police officers at micro PPKM. This is to prevent the reactive ones from infecting other communities,” the former Chief of Banten Regional Police said.

 

The Chief of Indonesian National Police also added the people who were positive Covid-19 through RT-PCR who were self-isolating at home were immediately transferred to the referral place that had been prepared.

 

“The evacuation that is currently carrying out is those who are self-isolation at home have been shifted to the Donohudan Boyolali Hajj Dormitory as referral place for self-isolation in Central Java. It has 800 beds completed with health workers and tight security from the Indonesian National Armed Forces-Indonesian National Police,” the Four-Star General concluded.

 

On the other hand, the Chief of Indonesian National Police said security forces will monitor people entering and leaving the red zone area. The area around Kudus Regency is asked to prepare contingency plan to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

 

“Going in and out of the red zone area is closely monitored, and people living in the red zone area in the village are advised not to leave the house for five days, the results will be evaluated. Others are preparing for the main contingency plan regarding the Kudus’ border,” he explained.

 

As is known, since Saturday (06/05) the Chief of Indonesian National Police together with the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Head of Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) Ganip Warsito, and several related parties took part directly in managing the increasing of Covid-19 cases in Kudus Regency, Central Java.
