Reviewing New Clusters in Bangkalan, East Java Regional Police Chief Asks for Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities

inp.polri.go.id- Surabaya. East Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Nico Afinta Karo-Karo, asked for the optimization of Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities to suppress the spread of Covid-19, along with the explosion of Covid-19 cases in Bangkalan.

The East Java Regional Police Chief asked the people of Bangkalan to apply and understand the handling of Covid-19 by implementing 3T (Testing, Tracing, Treatment). The Two-Star General also reminded the importance of 5M discipline, namely washing hands, maintaining distance, wearing masks, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.

“Religious leaders, community leaders and youth leaders are expected to provide education and optimize Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities, especially Neighbourhoods with active positive residents, to trace positive patient interactions with local residents,” said the East Java Regional Police Chief, Monday (06/07).

The East Java Regional Police Chief said that his party had coordinated with the National Police Chief to continue to coordinate with local governments in anticipating the spread of Covid-19 by blocking the Bangkalan-Surabaya border route.

“We continue to coordinate with the Chief of National Police to anticipate the spread of Covid-19, with efforts to isolate it, and establish insulation posts on two sides, the Madura and Surabaya entrances, with on the spot antigen swabs,” he said

The Regional Police Chief together with East Java’s Regional Leadership Coordination Forum and the Bangkalan’s Regional Leadership Coordination Forum will spray disinfectant in the four sub-districts of vulnerable zone, as well as increase vigilance with judicial operations in crowded places and the distribution of masks in the vulnerable zones.
Currently, Bangkalan is declared a Covid-19 emergency area. The East Java Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, including the East Java Governor, Commander in Chief V Brawijaya, and East Java Regional Police Chief continue to coordinate with Mayor of Surabaya and the Regent of Bangkalan to take initial steps to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 in Bangkalan.
