inp.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Inspector General M. Fadil Imran, released Covid-19 hunter team together with the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Transportation Agency, Municipal Police (Satpol PP) and Jakarta Metro Government in front of the Promoter Building, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarter.
On that occasion, the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police mentioned Covid-19 increased after the Eid holiday. Therefore, the police held consolidation to handle the increase of Covid-19 cases in Jakarta.
“The case of the Covid-19 pandemic after the Eid holiday if we look at the graph, it’s increasing. Thus we need to take real action on community basis and real action to enforce health protocol discipline with the concept of synergy of all sectors including involving the community, ” the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police explained.
He also mentioned the police had made various efforts during the Eid homecoming. One of them is providing antigen swab.
“Regional Police and Kodam (Military Command) Jaya and the provincial government have made various efforts before the homecoming, during the homecoming and after the homecoming. Until today we have carried out antigen swabs and Alhamdulillah it is quite effective,” he said.
He also mentioned the swab activity is a form of prevention in dealing with the corona virus pandemic that is still hitting Indonesia, especially Jakarta.
“I hope the togetherness among us, that we’re always on alert, will continue to be able to protect the community from the dangers of Covid-19 transmission. Prevention is the best way, prevention is a noble action compared to treatment,” the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police concluded.
