Covid-19 Cases Rise, Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Releases Covid-19 Hunt Team

inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Corona cases in Jakarta have not shown any sign of decreasing after the homecoming and Eid holidays. Therefore, to prevent the spread of the corona from getting worse, the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Inspector General Muhammad Fadil Imran, released the Covid-19 Hunter Team to improve 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) in the community.

“The case of the Covid-19 pandemic after the Eid holiday, if we look at the graph, there is an increase. So, therefore, the consolidation to take concrete actions on a community basis and concrete actions to enforce health care discipline with the concept of synergizing all sectors, we re-invigorate,” Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said the Monday (06/07).

The Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said the joint team from Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Jakarta Raya Military Regional Command, and the Jakarta Metropolitan Government continued to make various efforts to prevent the corona spread after Eid. Although considered quite effective, more profound prevention efforts must continue to be carried out.

“We gather for consolidation and remind us to tighten our belts together to face the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the Jakarta area,” the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police added.

He admitted there was a number of areas in Jakarta and its surroundings that were forced to lockdown as the case increases. Some are due to homecoming, and some are due to gathering during Eid.

However, this can be interpreted differently. This incident can be an opportunity for the authorities to act quickly, and the public can be wise in responding to the increase of corona in an area.

“I hope our togetherness among elements, alert attitude will continue to protect the community from the dangers of Covid-19 contagion. Prevention is the best way, a noble action compared to medication,” the Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said.

Currently, the number of corona cases in Jakarta has not decreased yet. As of Sunday (6/6), active cases have reached more than 11,000.
