Controlled Covid-19 Cases, Indonesian President Appreciates Indonesian Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police’s Success in Insulation During and After Eid

The President of Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appreciates the concrete steps taken by the ranks of the Indonesian Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Police for their success in blocking the backflow during and after Eid 2021 so that Covid-19 cases are under control.

“In general, the progress of daily confirmations and active cases are still under control. And thank you to the ranks of National Army and National Police that the insulation during and after Eid has run optimally,” explained Coordinating Minister for the Economics Airlangga Hartanto, quoted President Jokowi’s remarks when giving a press statement after a limited meeting of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (06/07/2021).

When giving a press statement, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy was accompanied by the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, National Army Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Indonesian National Police Chief General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Chairman of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Ganip Warsito,

“The active case rate until June 6, 2021 is 5.3%. This is better than the global 7.5%. Healing is 91.9%, better than the global 90.3%. And, the death rate is still higher than the global one, namely 2.8% and 2.1%,” explained the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

According to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, after Eid holiday, it is estimated that there will be an increase in cases within the next 2 weeks. Other than that. vaccination has reached 28.78 million. It is said, compared to other countries, the number of weekly cases per 1 million Indonesian population is relatively better.

“Indonesia is relatively better. Indonesia is 147 people per 1 million populations. Malaysia is 1,607 per 1 million populations, India is 662 per 1 million populations, and France is 731 per 1 million populations,” explained the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
