Anticipating the Spread of Covid-19, East Java Regional Police and Forkopimda (Regional Leader Forum) Prepared Mass Antigens in Bangkalan

East Java Governor, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Chief of East Java Regional Police, Inspector General Nico Afinta Karo-Karo, and Pangdam (Chief Commander) V Brawijaya, Major General Suharyanto and Forkopimda East Java keep fighting to break the chain of Covid-19 spread in Bangkalan.

The efforts include deploying personnel and medical equipment in the Bangkalan Covid-19 emergency zone. Meanwhile, 100 personnels from the Bangkalan Police, 75 Bangkalan Military District Command (Kodim) personnels, 30 Sabhara Regional Police personnels to the Surabaya – Bangkalan border. Also, 20 personnels East Java Traffic Directorate personnels block the Suramadu bridge, 15 personnels of Water Police Directorate of East Java Regional Police 5 Health workers from Bangkalan Regional , 5 Health workers from the Bangkalan Health Agency.

In addition, at the insulation border post, 1 PCR Car Unit from the East Java Provincial Government was also dispatched, 10 Health workers, 1 Indonesian National Armed Forces Company from Battalion 516, 1 Sabhara Platoon of the East Java Regional Police at the Surabaya – Bangkalan Insulation Location, 1 Sabhara Platoon of the East Java Regional Police in the Bangkalan Regency area for swab tracing backups and insulation, 6 Health Workers from East Java Regional Regional Police, High Rank Officers of East Java Regional Police and High Rank Officers of Brawijaya Military Military Command V also visited Bangkalan, to handle Covid-19. The Antigen Swab test kit is provided by the medical and health division of East Java Regional Police.

Currently, the local government has made prevention efforts by carrying out 3T (Testing, Tracing, Treatment) and carrying out antigen swab in Bangkalan area, which is suspected of being the point of the spread of Covid-19 in 4 Districts, i.e. Bangkalan District, Klampis District, Arosbaya District and Geger District.

The Chief of East Java Regional Police said his members had sprayed disinfectants at the homes of patients who were confirmed positive, pasting stickers at homes or places of residents who carried out self-isolation.

“Optimization of micro PPKM (community activity restriction) by implementing micro lockdown in 4 sub-districts. Making an agreement with the Regent, and attending schools have been canceled to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the area, ” Chief of East Java Regional Police explained.

Chief of Public Affairs of the East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko added there were 2 additional platoons of Sabhara Personnel to assist the implementation of 3T in Bangkalan.

The Head of Public Affairs of the East Java Regional Police also said the team from community development (Binmas) and Public Affairs of the East Java Regional Police would provide education and advice in the local language of the surrounding area.

“Adding 2 Sabhara Platoons for the implementation of 3T in the Bangkalan Regency area, and carrying out insulation in 3 other Regencies in Madura and in Surabaya, in order to reduce the burden of inspection on the Suramadu Bridge. We also sent a team from the Directorate of Binmas and Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police to provide education and advises for the community using Madurese language,” the Head of Public Affairs of East Java Regional Police concluded.
