inp.polri.go.id – Raja Ampat. The West Papua Regional Police are committed to overseeing the use of Special Autonomy (Otsus) fund in West Papua so the fund is distributed as targeted. It has become the task of the Indonesian National Police as law enforcement institution in carrying out prevention and prosecution of criminal acts of corruption (tipikor) in the West Papua region.
“The West Papua Regional Police and the Attorney General’s Office work together to prevent and take action against corruption.For the supervision, the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) are committed to conducting surveillance to anticipate suspected misappropriation of Otsus fund,” the Chief of West Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing explained, Sunday (06/06).
Inspector General Tornagogo Sihombing explained that distribution of Special Autonomy fund in West Papua, especially for education, health and welfare, must be distributed as targetted and truly be felt by the people of West Papua, especially the Papuan People.
“I hope that the use of the Special Autonomy fund, especially for education, health and public welfare, should really be distributed as targeted. It is the most important thing, and we will monitor it so that it is right on target,” the Chief of West Papua Police said.
