Inp.polri.go.id – Padang. The West Sumatra Regional Police continue to try to hold Operation Yustisi activities in order to make people aware of those who are still low to always apply health protocols whose aim is not to cause Covid-19 cases in this area to continue to grow.
West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto revealed that the crowds that still occur in public areas and the community’s disobedience to the implementation of health procedures in this area are the main factors for the increase in Covid-19 cases. Because there are still people in this area who don’t believe in the Covid-19 virus, so they don’t heed the government’s advice to implement health procedures.
“This, it said, was evidenced by the results of the Operation Yustisi held by the West Sumatra Regional Police until June 3, 2021, which recorded 131,778 peoples and 2,108 business actors violating the health protocols. Of these, he said, as many as 126,216 peoplea were given social work sanctions and monetary fines totaling IDR 185,100,000,” added the West Sumatra Regional Police Chief.
“For this reason, the West Sumatra Regional Police continue to strive to handle and prevent the spread of Covid-19 by campaigning through print and social media, as well as appeals through props in public areas. The optimization of Security and Public Order and acceleration in the Operation Yustisi are expected to increase public awareness in implementing the health program,” said the West Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Saturday (06/05/2021).
