inp.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. Chief of Traffic Police Corps of National Police, Police General Inspector Istiono stated that 1,309 homecomers are indicated positive for Covid-19, according to random swab test results conducted for 12 days of returning wave period.
“Since May 15 to May 27, we have conducted antigen swab test. 1,309 people are indicated positive for Covid-19”, Chief of Traffic Police Corps said.
Chief of Traffic Police Corps of National Police conducted random antigen swab test in checkpoints during insulation of Greater Jakarta region during the returning wave period of 2021 Eid from May 15 to 27. The test was conducted to minimise Covid-19 transmission and ensure people returning to Greater Jakarta are free from Covid-19.
According to the Chief of Traffic Police Corps, during 12 days of returning wave tightening, around 820,000 travellers’ legibility documents have been inspected during the Eid homecoming prohibition period.
“From that data, 540,000 people have the documents. 283,000 people, however, have no documents”, he said.
Traffic Police Corps of National Police keeps conducting tightening measure and checking Covid-19 Free Statement for drivers passing 140 checkpoints before entering the Greater Jakarta region until May 31. On Thursday (27/5/2021) night, the Chief of Traffic Police Corps went to the Antigen Test Drive-Thru Checkpoint of 2021 Eid’s Returning Wave at Cibatu parking bay, Kilometre 34 Jakarta-bound Cikampek toll road, to ensure tightening is still going. In his visitation, Chief of Traffic Police Corps of National Police was accompanied by Chief of Operational Division of Traffic Police Corps of National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Rudi Antariksawan; Director of Traffic Police Corps of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo; and President Director of Jasa Raharja, Ltd., Budi Rahardjo.
“After May 24, (the end of) tightening term, the government issued a policy to extend the travel tightening policy until May 31. therefore, National Police adapt it to the Intensified Routine Activity (KRYD) until May 31”, he said.
Meanwhile, in the area under the jurisdiction of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, which is at Kilometre 34 checkpoint, 1,057 antigen tests have been conducted, and two people are indicated positive for Covid-19. They were brought to the nearest hospital. For the data of 14 insulation checkpoints, 1,480 antigen tests are conducted, and eight of them are indicated positive for Covid-19 on Thursday (27/5).
