Since being launched by National Police Chief, the 110 Police emergency hotline service has been implemented in almost all levels of Regional Police to National Police throughout Indonesia. Exactly a week after the Chief of Police was launched, Hotline 110 service has been widely used by the community, including in the jurisdiction of South Kalimantan Regional Police
South Kalimantan Regional Police’s Head of PR, Pol. Grand Commissioner Mochamad Rifa’i said that a day there were hundreds of public reports through Hotline 110 that were received by the South Kalimantan Regional Police and National Police ranks.
“Everyday the Regional Police and ranks of National Police received complaints from the public above an average of 200 callers. The report varies,” explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Regional Police.
In principle, as a hotline, this service is intended for the wider community to report and provide information to the Police in case of an emergency. Especially in relation to crimes, traffic accidents (laka lantas) or fires.
As explained by Head of PR, emergency reports by public through Hotline 110, which were launched simultaneously by National Police Chief, will be responded to by the personnel, units of the Police closest to location of the report. Whether it’s a follow-up from South Kalimantan Regional Police or the local headquarters in the district / city.
The South Kalimantan Regional Police and National Police ranks of Pol. Grand Commissioner Mochamad Rifa’i continue to strengthen the Hotline 110 service system both from technical aspect of service system and personnel aspect. However, the Head of PR still reminded public to use this service as good as possible, according to its purpose and carried out responsibly.
