Greater Jakarta Metro. regional Police’s Head of PR, Pol. Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus explained that the two defendants were unable to attend to meet the investigation by the Corruption Sub-Directorate V investigators of Special Criminal Investigation as witnesses to the alleged corruption.
“Indeed, today there should be a clarification, but because both of them have activities at Telkomsel and there has been a letter from the legal concerned asking for a postponement related to today’s clarification,” explained Pol. Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police’s Head of PR said PT. Telkomsel President Director Setyanto Hantoro and PT. Telkom Indonesia Director Edi Witjara were suspected of committing corrupt acts of misappropriation of IDR 300 billion in funds.
The funds are the budget for borrowing the PT. Telkom SIM card in 2018.
“There are allegations, of course, that the funds disbursed by Telkom at that time were conveyed by the public which could not be accounted for,” said the Middle Officer of Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police.
This case began with a public complaint which was then followed up by the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police. Currently, Sub-Directorate V of Corruption, Special Criminal Investigation is still carrying out investigations.
Pol. Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus also explained that the two of them could not attend the examination because there was a Telkomsel anniversary activity with 5G launch activities. However, both of them will still be resummoned at an undetermined time.
