inp.polri.go.id. – Kudus. A significant increase of Covid-19 cases in Kudus regency until Thursday (27/5/2021) reached 806 people. Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, and Diponegoro/4th Regional Military Commander, Army Major General Rudianto, pay special attention to the increasing Covid-19 cases in Kudus.
In its instruction, the Chief of Regional Police said that public safety is the highest of the law. Chief of Regional Police orders the Kudus Regional Leader Communication Forum not to hesitant in conducting duties in preventing further increase of Covid-19 cases.
“Do not hesitate to close crowded places such as tourism object, cemetery, even Eid’s tradition. It is okay to close and ban them temporarily”, the Chief of Regional Police said.
In helping to push back the Covid-19 cases in Kudus, Central Java Regional Police deploy Central for Health and Medicine from the Indonesian National Police Headquarters to assist the health workers. Regional Police is ready to help Kudus Regional Leader Communication Forum on handling Covid-19 in that area.
“Central Java Regional Police is ready to help Kudus Regional Government through Mobile Brigade personnel deployment as necessary. We will also bring 14 cots and tents if needed and requests”, he added.
One of the districts in Kudus, the Jepang regency, records 146 positive cases. Some people are self-isolating, and others are undergoing treatment. Officers also conduct tracking to other 30 people and found one tested positive for Covid-19. To avoid it, Regional Police is moving fast by instructing its officers to form a joint company/platoon with the army, health workers, and municipal police as power hand, ready to be deployed anytime.
“Especially for the red zone village, please form a company/platoon of joint officers as a power hand for the Regent”, the Chief of Regional Police said.
He also appealed to self-isolating positive tested people to stay healthy and not to going out.
Meanwhile, Diponegoro/4th Regional Military Commander advises making a pamphlet stating that Covid-19 cases increase in Kudus. “Inform them that hospitals are full, and distribute it door to door”, he said .
