After the arrival, Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police were greeted by Cendrawasih/17th Regional Commander, Army Major General Ignatius Yogo Triyono; Chief of Papua Regional Police, Police Inspector General D. Fakhiri; Chief of the Papua Regional State Intelligence Agency, Army Major General Napoleon; Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Eko Rudi, Papua Regional Secretary, Dance Yulian Flassy; and primary officials of army and police in Papua.
Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of Papua Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal stated that the Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police’s visit to Jayapura is to instruct all army and police officers through Zoom meeting.
“So, all of our colleagues from army and police will gather in their each Departmental Police headquarters to receive instructions from Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police”, Chief of Public Relations and Press Division said.
The instruction given is the best service on Papua so that public safety and order situation can be more conducive on Papuans accessing both army and police’s service.
“If the situation is safe and conducive, the development could go (smoothly)”, he added.
Chief of Public Relations and Press Division also said that the Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police would conduct a working visit for two days in the city and regency of Jayapura. It is expected that the next day both Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police will return to Jakarta.
Regarding meeting all regional leaders of Papua with Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police, there are no many details yet.
“We will check on it again because there is no information from both Commander of National Army and Chief of National Police on their two-day activities in Jayapura”, Kamal concludes.
