Rusdi Hartono, explained the Crime Investigation Agency Indonesian National Police Headquarter examined 24 witnesses in the corruption case allegedly committed by Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat.
“There are active examinations of witnesses from Nganjuk, executed at the Nganjuk Resort Police,” Karo Penmas explained.
Crime Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police decided the Rejent Nganjuk Novi Rahman Hidayat as suspect in the case of buying and selling positions. Hand-Catch Operation (OTT) was previously conducted with the Corruption Eradiction Commission (KPK).
Beside Novi Rahman, the investigators also arrested another six suspects, i.e. Head of Pace Sub-District, Dupriono, Head of Tanjunganom Sub-District and as Acting Official (Plt) of Head of Sukomoro Sub-District, Edie Srijato. Further, Head of Berbek Sub-District Haryanto, Head of Loceret Sub-District Bambang Subagio, former Head of Sukomoro District Tri Basuki Widodo and the aide of Nganjuk Regent M. Izza Muhtadin.
In this case, the Nganjuk Regent was suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (2) and / or Article 11 and Article 12 B of Law Number 31 Year 1999 on Corruption Eradication as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 Year 2001 on Corruption Eradication.
While the Nganjuk Regent aide is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (2) and / or Article 11 and Article 12 B of Law Number 31 of 1999 on Corruption Eradication Crimes as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 Year 2001 on Corruption Eradication. All suspects were also charged with layered articles, namely article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
Meanwhile, the head of sub-districts were suspected of violating Article 18 of Law Number 31 Year1999 on Corruption Eradication as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 Year 2001 on Corruption Eradication.
