Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police Asked Nganjuk Departmental Police to Complete the Filing of the Case of Government Position’s Deals

inp.polri.go.id Jakarta. The police are investigating at least 24 witnesses at Nganjuk Departmental Police in relation to the alleged purchasing government position case.

Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police (Kabareskrim Polri), Police General Commissioner Agus Adrianto, confirmed that he had deployed his personnel to Nganjuk Departmental Police to investigate some witnesses in relation to the case. According to the Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency, the investigation is conducted to complete the crime files of the case’s suspect.

“(Our) personnel are in Nganjuk to complete the filing purposes. Please ask further to the Corruption Criminal Act Directorate”, he answered.

Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police has determined Nganjuk’s regent Novi Rahman Hidayat as the suspect for the government position sell-and-purchase case. The main suspect was previously captured by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a sting operation (OTT).

Besides Novi Rahman, police investigators also capture six other suspects who are: District head of Pace, Dupriono; District head of Tanjunganom and Caretaker of the district head of Sukodono, Edie Srijato; District head of Berbek, Haryanto; District head of Loceret, Bambang Subagio; Former district head of Sukomoro, Tri Basuki Widodo; and Aide of Nganjuk regent, M. Izza Muhtadin.

In this case, Nganjuk regent has violated article 5 paragraph 2 and/or article 11 and 12B of Law no. 31 of 1999 about Eradication of Corruption Criminal Act, as altered and added by Law no. 20 of 2001 about Eradication of Corruption Criminal Act.

The district heads are subjected to the violation of article 18 of Law no. 31 of 1999 about Eradication of Corruption Criminal Act, as altered and added by Law no. 20 of 2001 about Eradication of Corruption Criminal Act.

Meanwhile, the regent’s aide is subjected to violating article 5 paragraph 2 and/or article 11 and 12B of Law no. 31 of 1999 about Eradication of Corruption Criminal Act, as altered and added by Law no. 20 of 2001 about Eradication of Corruption Criminal Act. All suspects are also subjected to article 55, paragraph 1 no. 1 of the Indonesian Criminal Code.
