inp.polri.go.id – Palangkaraya. Being one of the priorities in the 2021 work program, the handling and prevention of forest and land fires in Bumi Tambun B Sungai is a fixed price for the Central Kalimantan Regional Police. Since the issuance of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Declaration regarding sanctions for forest and land fire perpetrators, community service groups and personnel have continued to disseminate information to the public.

It is hoped that with the dissemination of the announcement, all levels of society will understand the dangers and criminal sanctions that can ensnare them if they dare to burn down their yards or land. The Community is asked to take part in preventing and dealing with forest and land fires in Central Kalimantan. Among them are not burning forests and land or immediately reporting if forest and land fires occur.

Head of Public Relations, Police Grand Commissioner Kismanto Eko Saputro, emphasized that the Community is considered to have understood the consequences of burning forests and land along with the announcement of the police chief’s announcement. Corporations proven to have burned forests and land will receive heavier sanctions, from criminal sanctions to business closure.

“We will take firm action indiscriminately for every forest and land fire actor, be it individuals or corporations or companies. Criminal sanctions for perpetrators of forest fires are regulated in the criminal codebook in Articles 187 and 188. Then in Law No. 41 of 1999 Article 78 and Law No. 39 of 2009, Law No. 49 of 2014 and Provincial Regulation of Central Kalimantan No. 1 of 2020, ” he concluded.

Previously, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police and related agencies conducted joint exercises in forest and land fire management preparedness. Located in Taruna Village, Jabiren Raya District, Pulang Pisau, hundreds of personnel simulated the handling of forest and land fires.
