Inp.polri.go.id – North Maluku. Chief of North Maluku Regional Police, Police Inspector General Risyapudin Nursin, inspected the free Covid-19 antigen test clinic in Semut Harbour, Ternate, on Monday (24/5). He wanted to make sure the activity is right on target and can early detect and avoid the spread of Covid-19.
“Considering the huge returning and homecoming wave in North Maluku during the security tightening after Pekat Kieraha Operation”, Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Maluku Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adip Rojikan, stated.
Chief of Public Relations and Press Division said that the rapid test is randomly conducted to the gateways of inter-regency, inter-city, and inter-province such as harbour, tourism object, and others.
“We have conducted the free and random test in places such as Ahmad Yani Harbour, Jikomalamo and Sulamada beach, and Bastiong harbour”, Chief of Public Relations and Press Division said.
Chief of Public Relations and Press Division said that 89 are subjected to random test at Semut Harbour of Ternate City. They are passengers, drivers, and speed boat’s crews. “All results show non-reactive”, he said.
Out of 621 tests conducted by the North Maluku Regional Police, only one tested reactive.
“We follow up the reactive person by coordinating with the related institution to conduct 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) to the person”, he said.
“Make sure you are healthy before travelling. If you do not feel healthy, go to the doctor immediately and stay at home”, Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Maluku Regional Police continued.
One of the religious figures from Central Halmahera, Heru (43), who will be going to Jakarta, appreciated the prevention steps taken by the North Maluku Regional Police. “We feel very grateful and thank the North Maluku Regional Police, which, by their kindness, have conducted the free rapid test service. We felt helped”, Heru said.
