“If we see fluctuation of reverse flow, both from Java to Sumatera, since four days ago everything has been normal. The reverse flow is less than 100 thousand vehicles. It’s been for days everything is normal,” as explained by Kakorlantas Indonesian National Police (05/24/21).
The former Chief of Bangka Belitung Regional Police explained the volume of reverse flow has decreased since last night, compared with the previous day. Even the volume of vehicles come from Sumatera to Jakarta decreased 20 percent last night.
“Volume of the vehicle flow from Java to Jakarta decreased 11% yesterday. And until tonight (last night) decreased less than 6%. The flow from Sumatera to Jakarta increased 22% and today decreased to 20%,” as mentioned by Kakorlantas Indonesian National Police.
The two-star general explained that the Eid 2021 backflow tightening has ended today. However, the police is waiting for a policy from the government, whether to extend the backflow tightening period until May 31, 2021 or not.
“May 24 is the end of the tightening period. Will it be extended until May 31st, we are waiting for further policy from the government, whether the tightening policy will be continued until 31st or not,” Kakorlantas Indonesian National Police explained.
In addition, Kakorlantas Indonesian National Police also explained about the implementation of rapid antigen test for travelers returning to Jakarta which run effectively. Between May 15-22 2021, at least 524 travelers were Covid-19 reactive.
“Yes, it is very effective. That’s why the rapid antigen test we organize, from Sumatera to Java, is mandatory. Rapid antigen test is mandatory to those who travel to Jakarta. Then those who are from Bali, Java to Jakarta we do randomly. Earlier I conveyed the data. From 15-22 we have carried out more than 118 thousand mandatory and randomly inspections. And 524 are positive, ” as explained by the Kakorlantas Indonesian National Police.
