inp.polri.go.id – Batam. Riau Island’s Regional Police held a mass vaccination for the general public in Batam City, Riau Islands, Friday (05/21/2021).
Head of Health and Medicine sector of Riau Island’s Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Muhammad Haris said the vaccination that was held at Riau Island’s Regional Police targeted people who had not been vaccinated with the theme of the activity “Vaccination Response of Riau Island’s Regional Police”.
Riau Island’s Regional Police prepared 550 vaccines for the Friday (05/21/2021) activity and started at 08.00 AM -15.00 PM GMT+7.
“The target of vaccination is not only the people around Riau Island’s Regional Police. Nevertheless, retired officers of the National Police, Bhayangkari and the big family of the Indonesian National Police could also directly participate in this vaccination. Bring a copy of their ID card and identity could participate in vaccination,” explained the Head of Health and Medicine sector of Riau Island’s Regional Police
He continued, his side would continue to carry out vaccination activities for the general public in accordance with President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
“Of course, we hope that in the future, the mass vaccination activities at the Riau Island’s Regional Police could run continuously. Together with the community, we can lower the transmission of Covid-19,” explained the Head of Health and Medicine sector of Riau Island’s Regional Police
Previously, on April 13-14, the Riau Island’s Regional Police also held a similar activity with 1,000 covid-19 vaccines used.
Meanwhile, for the covid-19 vaccination activity on Saturday (05/22/2021), his party provided 1,000 vaccines for the public.
We are in the form of helping the government to increase the immunity of the Riau Islands community. All parties, after being vaccinated, are expected to continue to apply health protocols in every activity, he said.
Head of Health and Medicine sector of Riau Island’s Regional Police also appealed to the public not to be afraid to be vaccinated.
“This is for the good of us together,” he concluded.
