Inp.go.id – Pekanbaru. Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Commissioner Gatot Eddy Pramono, visits Riau province on Thursday (20/05/2021).
The entourage accompanies Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police’s visit consists of Chief of the Community Development Corps of the Security Maintenance Agency of the Indonesian National Police, Police Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan; Chief of the Centre of Medicine and Health of Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General dr. Rusdianto; Chief of Development and Operations Bureau of the Operation Staff of the Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Roma Hutajulu; Chief of Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations and Press Division of the Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono; and Private Secretary of the Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Faizal Febrianto. The entourage was warmly welcomed by Riau governor, H. Syamsuar; Chief of Riau Regional Police, Police Inspector General Setya Imam Effendi; Commander of the Military Resort, Army Brigadier General M. Syech Ismed; Chief of Pekanbaru City Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner H. Nandang Mu’min Wijaya; Commander of the Roesmin Nurjadin Airfield, Armed Forces Air Marshal Andi Kustoro; and other Riau province’s elements of Head of Region’s Communication Forum.
In his visit, the Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police visits the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) command post and checks for the preparedness of Riau Regional Police’s personnel on mitigating forest fire in the province.
The PPKM command post is located in the East Sidomulyo subdistrict office, Marpoyan Damai regency, Pekanbaru city. The post is the first place visited by the three-star general, accompanied by the Riau governor, Chief of Riau Regional Police, Pekanbaru City Departmental Police, and Pekanbaru mayor.
During the inspection, Police General Commissioner Gatot Eddy Pramono and the Head of Region’s Communication Forum members did some talk inside the command post to avoid crowds.
“I remind that the largest Covid-19 transmission cluster is the family cluster. So, if it is found, please report to the head of Neighbourhood Association or Citizen Association so they can start the 3T procedures of testing, tracing, and treatment”, the 1988 Armed Forces Academy Graduate said.
Afterwards, the Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police visits the vaccination site in Gelanggang Remaja Sports Centre in Jalan Sudirman, Pekanbaru.
After the vaccination site visit, the Deputy Chief of Indonesian National Police with the entourage went to Riau Regional Police headquarters to inspect the preparedness for the forest fire in Riau province and inaugurated the police’s Integrated Public Service Mall inside the headquarter complex.
During his third visit, Police General Commander Gatot Eddy Pramono praised forest fire equipment owned by Riau Regional Police to anticipate the disaster in Riau.
“We have prepared the equipment and personnel. August is approaching, and usually, there will be a dry season. We have to be ready and prepared for this”, the three-star general said.
