Day 100 of Chief of National Police Priority Program, Professor of Criminal Law of Bengkulu University Supports Innovation of Online Notification Letter on the Progress of Investigation Results (SP2HP) and Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE)

inp.polri.go.id. – Bengkulu. Professor of Criminal Law of Bengkulu University, Herlambang, stated that Indonesian National Police’s innovation on Online SP2HP is great and need to be supported. Using online SP2HP, a reporter can accessed criminal development online without having to go to an investigator.

 

SP2HP is a right for the people reporting to the police. In ensuring accountability and transparency of investigation, the investigator requires to provide SP2HP to the reporter, whether they ask it or not. Since Listyo Sigit Prabowo holds the seat of Chief of National Police, the online SP2HP service is launched as an innovation from the police.

 

“I think it is a great innovation from the police in the online SP2HP service. This online SP2HP can provide legal certainty to the public, and police, through their investigators, can take responsibility for its performance to the people”, Herlambang said.

 

Herlambang supports police’s innovations not only limited to the Online SP2HP programme but also the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE).

 

“This one is already running, but now it is conducted online. Indonesian National Police must prepare adequate human resources to support these online programmes”, he added.

 

As information, during his 100 working days, Chief of Police has done many programmes and policies to enhance public services such as the launch of Online SP2HP, Online Public Complaints, Online Driving License, Online Police Record, and Online Traffic Ticket through BERSINAR Programme.

 

Besides that, Indonesian National Police, during the Chief’s first 100-day work, also conducting restorative justice in public cases. During his first 100 days, Indonesian National Police has solved cases through restorative justice for as many as 1,864 cases.
