Traveller Goes Back to Jakarta; Police Provide Free Antigen Swabs, 84 Samples Are Covid-19 Reactive Results

inp.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police, and related agencies held a free antigen swab test for travellers who returned to Jakarta. The results found 84 Covid-19 reactive samples out of 15,024 samples.

“The number of Eid Travelers that got tested is around 15,024 peoples. The non-reactive ones are around 14,940 people. Meanwhile, 84 people are reactive or positive for Covid-19,” said Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Head of PR Police Commissioner Yusri Yunus, Tuesday (05/18/2021 ).

The Head of PR explained that Jakarta Raya Military Regional Command together with Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police and related services for Jakarta Metropolitan provided free antigen swabs at 14 insulation posts and the Police Station and District Military Command to detect Covid-19 in travellers’ bodies.

According to the Head of PR, reflecting on the past time, the Covid-19 confirmation case has constantly increased every long holiday. So, the National Armed Forces and National Police, and the Jakarta Metropolitan services have the initiative to take steps to anticipate the spread of Covid-19.

“This is to break the chain of spreading Covid-19,” said the Head of PR.

The Head of PR explained that travellers who are indicated to have been exposed to Covid-19 are given two choices, namely undergoing independent isolation or being referred to the hospital according to the patient’s domicile.

“The mechanism is that if we are positive, we isolate independently. In detail, of the 84 who undergo independent isolation, there are 46 people, then 33 people we refer to the Athlete’s House, and 5 other referrals,” explained Pol. Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus.
