Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Attaches Stickers on Reactive Covid-19 Homecomers’ Houses

inp.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, together with Tiga Pilar, built a free antigen swab test command post spread across several Sectoral Police headquarters in Jakarta in anticipating the rapid increase of Covid-19 new cases after Eid and its holidays.

The action needed to be taken as many people reported installing banners refusing homecomers entering their neighbourhood without the Covid-19 Free Statement.

“For people who arrived at home in Jakarta and passed the checkpoints, they should go to Sectoral Police headquarters”, Chief of Public Affairs and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police said.

“Because all Sectoral Police headquarters have been added a free antigen swab test service due to the phenomenon on residence refusing homecomers going to their home without carrying Covid-19 Free Statement”, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus said.

“Or, if homecomers are already back but have not conducted swab test, please report to the neighbourhood’s Task Force such as Neighbourhood Association, Community Army Officer (Babinsa), and Community Police Officer (Babhinkamtibmas), so we can conduct swab test at their home”, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus added.

Besides providing a free antigen swab test, Yusri also explains that their community outreach officers also took an approach of recording homecomers.

Later, by that data, officers will know who are Eid homecomers and where they live.

“Our innovation is attaching sticker in the front of people’s house who is self-isolating or referred to hospitals to get treatment after his/her/their antigen test’s result is out”, Chief of Public Affairs and Press Division said.

Chief of Public Affairs and Press Division said that if the antigen test result shows reactive, the person will be transferred to the hospital’s isolation ward.

“Yesterday, Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police and Regional Military Commander of Grater Jakarta inspect the preparedness of Athlete’s Village (Emergency Hospital). (There are) several towers consist of Jakartans with reactive antigen test result”, Chief of Public Affairs and Press Division said.

“This (testing) will be continued. We will keep updating daily on how many are entering Jakarta, how many people have been tested, and how many people with reactive results that we have to isolate”, the Chief of Public Affairs and Press Division said.

“This is our effort. We also hope that Jakartans adhere to health protocols of 5M and government’s effort on 3T: testing, tracing, and treatment”, Chief of Public Affairs and Press Division concludes.
