During the Homecoming Prohibition, Special Region of Yogyakarta Regional Police Turned Around 7,996 Vehicles

Inp.polri.go.id – Yogyakarta. The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Regional Police deployed 1,359 personnels in 2021 Ketupat Progo Operation for the homecoming insulation at the border of DIY during the prohibition of homecoming.

Head of Public Affairs Division of DIY Regional Police mentioned that at the Temon Post there were 2,301 vehicles checked, 9,924 vehicles at Tempel Post, 11,644 vehicles at Prambanan Post, 437 vehicles at Bedoyo Post, and 463 vehicles at Hargodumilah Post. Then, 454 vehicles at Exnataputra Post, 363 vehicles at Demangan Post, 603 vehicles at Piyungan Post, 672 vehicles at Srandakan Post, and 844 vehicles at Sedayu Post.

“The total number vehicle inspected was 27,705, consisted of four-wheel vehicles, two-wheel vehicles and bus as well as freight vehicle. The peak of vehicle inspection was on May 12. There were more than three thousand vehicles inspected of the 27 tousand,” as explained the Head of Public Affairs Division of DIY Regional Police.

There were thousand of vehicle that were turned around of the total vehicle inspected. For the number of vehicles that were turned arund at the check point during the 12 days of Operation Ketupat Progo 2021, were 7,996 vehicles.

Beside implementing the homecoming prohibition, police also conducted random antigen test to all people passed the check point. As a result, several people were found Corona positive based on the rapid antigen test. The Head of Public Affairs Division of DIY Regional Police mentioned that the guard at the border would still be carried out to May 24, but it would not be as strict as the period of Eid homecoming prohibition.

“Of the 5,136 rapid antigen, 5,130 were negative and the other six were positive. It was followed up with the examination at Hardjolukito. After May 17 to 24, we keep doing this with enhancement. It means that people who pass by provincial border area will be checked,” as concluded by Head of Public Affairs Division of DIY Regional Police.
