inp.polri.go.id. Jakarta. In the 100 program on the first quarter from January 29, 2021 – May 8, 2021, the Indonesian National Police held MoU with TVRI to deliver the Indonesian National Pooice activity to the public both internally and externally.
The MoU signing event was attended by the President Director of TVRI, Imam Botoseno, the Managing Director of RRI (Radio Republik Indonesia), Mohammad Rohanudin, Karo Kerma KL Sops Polri (Head of Ministrial Institution Cooperation Bureau of Operation Staff Institution of Indonesian National Police), Chief of Public Affairs Bureau of Indonesian National Police, Head of Indonesian National Police Public Affairs Division and the representatives from the General Secretariat of Indonesian National Police.
In his welcoming speech, the Director of TVRI expressed his gratitude of the MoU signing. He also mentioned that TVRI and the Indonesian National Police had established good relationship for years, particularly at the badminton field. Up till now TVRI has three badminton field.
“As stated by the Chief of public affair division, that the collaboration between TVRI and Indonesian National Police is not only the information, but also entertainment show. As mandated by the president, TVRI needs to add more entertainment, as too news can make the audience boring. In the entertainment show, socialization of important matters can broadcasted,” as explained by Iman.
Imam continued that his party welcomes the cooperation. He also mentions that in each province there is regional TVRI that has the authority to create content differed with the central, and it is expected that in each region the content is suited with the Chief of Regional Police’s preferences.
“We are very grateful of this opportunity, and it needs to be emphasized that we are not state-owned enterprise. We are the President’s leadership institution. We’ll keep existing for the sake of diversity (kebhinekaan), providing information especially related to the handling of Covid and development in Indonesia, including the Indonesian National Police,” as he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Patnership Bureau of Public Information Division (Kabag Mitra Ro Penmas Divhumas Polri ) of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Cahyo Budisiswanto, mentioned that during the 100 working days of Chief of Indonesian National Police, Public Affairs (Humas) in an institution is very important as the public affairs can be a communication bridge between organization and public, both internally and externally.
“Public affair person has to be creative, not only to create content, but how to connect, promote, deliver news to society,” he added.
He also mentioned that the current challenge of Indonesian government is to deliver positive news and information. Also, how the information can be reached and known by the society.
“That’s why to increase the cooperation between Indonesian National Police and TVRI, we signed the MoU by expecting that the existing cooperation has legal basis so that the cooperation would be more strengthened,” he concluded.
