inp.polri.go.id – Papua. KKB was demanded to surrender immediately to the law enforcement apparatus Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)-Indonesian National Police.
The ultimatum was announced directly by the Chief of Papua Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri.
The track crossed by KKB including the headquarter had been contrilled by the joint apparatus as mentioned by the Chief of Papua Regional Police.
“Since the beginning, the apparatus has repeteadly said that if they want to surrender, then handover the firearms. We’ll decide later how to accept them,”as said by the Chief of Papua Regional Police.
Further, he mentioned that if they (KKB) still carried out their brutal actions, then they would be prosecuted legally.
“If the stay the same, then the security apparatus will face them whatever the risk. We will take action,” the Chief of Papua Regional Police said.
He also mentioned that since May 16,, Nemangkawi Task Force had succeeded to occcupy the point previously controlled by KKB. It was only a matter of time to act in a measured and decisive manner.
“We are enforcing the law because we are tightly closing their routes to ensure that this group must leave the people in Ilaga, both in Gome and Mayuberi in North Ilaga,” explained the the Chief of Papua Regional Office.
On the same occasion, the Chief of Papua Regional Police also denied the news about the photo of bullet casings and bombardments carried out by the Indonesian National Police through the air, causing residents’ settlements and places of worship destroyed of the explosion.
“Indeed we have helicopters but we do not use them to carry out series of attacks from the air as it is harmful. We are still focused on chasing, done by Nemangkawi Task Force. So the photo that was spread was hoax and only wanted to seek symphaty,” as said by Mathius D. Fakhiri.
Previosuly, it was reported that West Papua National Liberartion Army-Free Papua Organization Sebby Sambon in his release revealed that the apparatus of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)-Indonesian National Police carried out aerial bombing that caused residential settlements including a place of worship destroyed in Dolinggame Village.
“Hundred of residents have fled to the villages that are considered safe, some go to the city of Ilaga to occupy the house of head of social bureau, and some have fled to Timka and Nabire,” the Chief of Papua Regional Police closed the interview.
