The Chief of INP, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, checks the insulation at Merak port, Banten. The Chief of INP asked the insulation officers to improve further guarding ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Especially in Merak Port, Cilegon City, Banten, it is the custom of the people to cross from night to morning.
“I do know that in the Banten region, for the flow of homecoming activities in the previous year, the tendency will be even more crowded in the late evening and early morning. Of course, colleagues have to face it in the last few days,” said Chief of INP General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the Merak Executive Pier, Sunday (9/5/2021).
The Chief of INP reviewed with the TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, and Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono. Then also attended by Chairman of the DPR Puan Maharani, Head of BNPB, and Chair of the COVID-19 Task Force Doni Monardo.
For convenience during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, the Chief of INP also asked that tourist locations that enter the red zone must be closed. While open tourist objects, have to stand a post to remind the public to implement the covid-19 health protocol (prokes).
Distribution of masks to tourists and health checks are mandatory to ensure that people on vacation are in good health.
“Then do random checking activities, check the temperature, so that we are sure the visitors who enter are safe,” he explained.
