INP Binmas Noken Task Force personnel met face to face and visited the community in Kimak Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Papua, Tuesday (4/5/2021). This face-to-face meeting is to establish friendship with local community members.
Not only that, but the INP Binmas Noken Task Force personnel also confirmed the security situation in Kimak Village through local community leaders. There were attacks and terror carried out by the Papuan terrorist armed criminal group (KKB).
The Chief of the Puncak Regency, Abelom Kogoya, said that his party was threatened with being shot by a KKB gang led by Numbuk Telenggen. However, this did not deter Abelom Kogoya.
He appealed to the public to remain calm and not to be influenced or provoked by the actions of the KKB because the TNI-INP apparatus is always ready to maintain security in Papua.
Meanwhile, local religious leaders Pdt. Menaser Labene harassed civilians in the Muara area, Maiberi District, Puncak.
As a result, people living in the Muara area left their homes and lived with their relatives in the closest villages, namely Paluga Village, Kimak Village, and Kago Village.
It is known, on Monday (3/5/2021), the KKB gang acted again by burning the Puskesmas building, schools and destroying several road facilities in the Mayuberi area, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency.
I was responding to this, Pdt. Abelom Kogoya advised the community to remain calm and not be affected by the actions of the KKB. Abelom also said that the community should work together with the TNI-INP apparatus to maintain the security of the Papua region, especially the Puncak Regency.
Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Papua warmly welcomed the arrival of Binmas Noken INP. They feel safe in the presence of INP personnel.
