In Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua, began to gradually become more conducive after the shooting and arson carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
The Nemangkawi Public Relations Task Force, Senior Police Superintendent M. Iqbal Alqudusy, said the TNI-INP would guarantee security for the community.
“TNI-INP guarantees security, people who evacuate are expected to return, including teachers and nurses,” Iqbal told media crews in Jayapura, Thursday (22/4/2021) night.
“Community activities have started to return to normal. The market which did not operate during the KKB action has now started to run as usual,” he said.
Iqbal also asked non-Papuans who had left Beoga District because they were afraid of the KKB’s action to return.
“We will provide security guarantees so that people do not have to be afraid or worried,” he said.
He said the health and education workers had left Beoga after the KKB terror.
“There are teachers, but those are local community teachers, while teachers and migrant nurses have fled to Mimika during the KKB action, but over time, it will return to normal considering the situation has begun to be conducive,” he said.
Iqbal added that now the security forces have controlled the areas that are often the places of action of the KKB so that people do not need to be afraid or anxious, considering that TNI-INP will provide security guarantees.
