Papua – Good Friday commemoration in Papua Province is safe and conducive. Joint TNI and INP personnel guarded churches’ courtyard in their respective areas, Friday (2/4/2021).
Head of Public Relations Papua Regional Police, Police Senior Superintendent Ahmad Musthofa Kamal said that in general, the implementation of the Good Friday service was smooth and safe.
This is because the harmony between religious communities in Papua is solid and mutually guarding. Solidarity and the spirit of tolerance among religious believers have long been built-in Papua.
The Police would like to thank all people in Papua for maintaining harmony and mutual respect.
This is very evident in the religious activities in Papua that support and protect each other.
“Today is also the process of worship or Mass Friday Good Friday in Papua running smoothly and safely,” said Police Senior Superintendent Kamal in a written statement, Friday night.
Police Senior Superintendent Kamal also reminded all levels of society to adhere to health protocols in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in Papua.
“Let’s protect ourselves, our families and the people around us,” said Police Senior Superintendent Kamal.
